The Architecture is, and has always been, subject to the spirit of the time and the needs of people. Therefore it is constantly changing.
We, at arcoplan, have made it our purpose to develop an architectural and constructional concept that captivates, enhances and projects the spirit of the contemporary era and is reflected in new solutions.

This philosophy is the essence of the „versatile modular house“ System. 
A modern architectural system that allows many variations.

The Versatile Modular House – System’s key features are:

  • versatility

The Versatile Modular House – System allows a quick and cost-effective solid construction.
Therefore it is globally applicable and not depended on specific regional or provincial regulations.

Application philosophy:
Minimalist arrangement of all modules, purely based on the purpose and the function, without any formalism. For this reason, a simple and clear structure is arranged.

A composition that follows the functional requirements and arranges them within short distance from each other. Requirements such as:

  • central heating
  • elevators
  • staircases
  • storage rooms
  • other side rooms
  • etc.

The Versatile Modular House – System, through its newly developed and unique modular design, achieves a high degree of transformability. This helps to create a wide variety of combination variants (within the closed structure).  

Architecture and structure:
The Versatile Modular House – System, achieves an important advantage in terms of energy saving compared to its cost, thanks to the conjunction of its compact architectural forms (interior modules) and the external docked modules. The basic pattern remains the same. Shape and apartment plan can be extended in any desired order by the compatible modules. These modules offer a high degree of design freedom to the external and internal architecture.

The flat roofs are designed in a particular way which allows the underlying penthouses to have green roofs created and assigned to them.

The Versatile Modular House – System, is highly industrialized, without neglecting the rich variety of the individual planning. It allows a plurality of potential design variations and therefore each construction project is unique and with a character of its own.

Separation by components:
The Versatile Modular House – System, is constructed with compatible internal and external modules.

  • “Warm” components are placed on internal module systems
  • “Cold” components are placed on external module systems

Separation by modules:
The consequent structural and physical separation (no rigid connection between them) of the construction components on internal and external modules, eliminates thermal losses and create soundproof barriers. Each module is an independent static system.

Arrangement of internal modules:
The sum of several internal modules results in our “Standard module”. The overall arrangement of any number of these combinations on the floor plan varies. It can vary from 1 standard module (1-bedroom apartment) up to the “house within a house“-principle. All standard modules are compatible in both directions, in the area as well as in the height. This means that they can be aligned to fit each other perfectly in terms of statics, wiring, functions and the architectural design. Standard modules are able to be easily extended horizontally and vertically (bi-axially).

Reducing the error rate by simplification and industrialization:
Thanks to the simplicity and high industrialization of the Versatile Modular House – System design, the error rate is eliminated. The modular structures due to their consistency and repetitive connections, which were prefabricated in the workshop, allow a rapid automated, accurate and nearly faultless execution.

 

Renewable Energies:
The Versatile Modular House – System uses a solar thermal unit and processes water for domestic use + floor heating system (Bafa promoted). This combined unit with a centrally placed heating system on the external module-level, enables extremely short conduction paths and therefore lower energy loss.

Environmental awareness / sustainable construction:
An essential fundamental idea of the Versatile Modular House – System is based on this. Wherever it was a useful, reasonable and ecologically meaningful consideration, the chosen material selection was realized and placed accordingly. The system minimizes the amount of construction materials due to its simple and consistent arrangement. Additionally, the largest part of the external modules can easily be removed, modified and recycled.

Sales & Marketing Concept:
A flexible floor plan enables us to involve the buyer at a very early stage of the project, during the planning phase (Sale Design Model). The client is able to make a reservation of one or multiple modules in a potential preliminary agreement. Hence the buyer itself composes his desired apartment according to his own taste.
The advantage for the property developer:
The developer gains the ability to control the sale and the planning.  Undesired side effects such as failing to follow up the current market needs are almost certainly ruled out.


Conclusion:
Taking into consideration all the above listed properties and benefits also bearing in mind the significant low construction costs we are convinced that the future belongs to our Versatile Modular House – System!
